Who needs coffee when you have black bears on your porch?
Loretta documents my tan line while I document more important things on the blog...
The infamous, cracked seat-post-rack.....
My loaded bike with gear piled on handlebars...then add on another pannier ontop of all that...gettin on was not very..fun...rather, it was nearly impossible...
Mr. Thunderbird himself with the end product of his version of seat-post-rack...A fine, fine end result indeed...Thanks again Mr. Thunderbird if you're reading this!!!! The rack is holding up great so far and has already carried me far!

Hi, Stephen's mom, Donna, again - I don't know much about bikes really, but all the same - since you've been carrying so much weight on your seat post, might that be part of the reason it broke? If the PVC thing works, why not keep it for now, reduce the load on the post till the PVC rack breaks? I'm impressed you can bike with a broken post! Hope for a bike shop soon! Donna

MICHAEL,
HAVE YOU NOTICED HOW MANY ANGELS HAVE HELPED YOU SO FAR ON THIS TRIP?
SOME MAY THINK ITS ALL JUST A SERIES OF LUCKY COINCIDENCES. NOT SO. NOW TELL ME, DO YOU REALLY THINK THAT IT WAS JUST A COINCIDENCE THAT YOU RAN INTO SUCH A GREAT GUY LIKE MR. THUNDERBIRD? (JUST TO MENTION ONE GREAT ENCOUNTER YOU HAVE HAD).
LOVE,
NANI AND POPPOP
